District Administration Mardan initiative

Local enterprise, connected to opportunity.

WadaanMardan is a governed digital marketplace developed for District Mardan businesses by District Administration Mardan. It helps verified local sellers present products to customers while orders, courier arrangements and cash-on-delivery settlement remain directly with each business.

About the programme

A practical platform for Mardan’s business community

The marketplace is designed to give artisans, retailers, producers, home-based enterprises and other eligible local businesses a professional online presence. Every business application and every public product listing passes through an administration-controlled review process.

The platform does not collect sellers’ money. A customer places a cash-on-delivery order, the seller confirms and dispatches it through the seller’s own courier arrangement, and the courier settles directly with that seller. This keeps public administration outside commercial fund collection while preserving order records, accountability and customer-service evidence.

Public leadership and oversight

The Deputy Commissioner and District Administration

The Deputy Commissioner Mardan leads district-level coordination and public administration in accordance with the applicable laws and policies of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Through its relevant branches and authorized officers, District Administration Mardan supports transparent public service delivery, coordination among government departments, facilitation of citizens and businesses, and accountable programme oversight.

For WadaanMardan, the administration’s role is governance: reviewing registrations and catalogue submissions, monitoring programme activity, maintaining auditable decisions, and promoting responsible access to digital opportunity. Product quality, pricing, stock, courier booking, delivery performance, returns and COD settlement remain the responsibility of the participating business, subject to marketplace rules and applicable law.

Our identity

Why WadaanMardan

“Wadaan” reflects growth, flourishing and shared prosperity. The emblem brings together a heritage-inspired arch, an open marketplace canopy, cultivated fields and a guiding star—representing Mardan’s history, enterprise and forward movement.

Important: WadaanMardan is a facilitation and governance platform. Publication does not create a government guarantee, warranty or financial liability for a seller’s goods or services.
